Rema has spoken candidly about the end of a past romantic
relationship, revealing that he decided to walk away after feeling overwhelmed
by constant emotional pressure.
The Nigerian music star, whose real name is Divine Ikubor,
shared the personal details during a conversation with YouTuber Korty EO.
Reflecting on the relationship, he explained that although it had many good
moments, it also came with challenges that eventually became difficult for him
to handle.
According to the singer, life in the spotlight already comes
with enormous demands and expectations. He said home should be a place of
comfort and peace after facing the pressures of fame, work and public
attention.
However, Rema disclosed that instead of finding relief when
he returned home, he often found himself dealing with fresh tension and
emotional stress. He described his former partner as someone who could be
manipulative, adding that the situation gradually became exhausting.
The award-winning artiste said the relationship was not
entirely negative and acknowledged that there were beautiful moments. But in
the end, he felt the emotional burden outweighed the happiness.
After reaching his limit, the singer decided to end the
relationship and focus on himself. For now, he says he is stepping away from
romance and choosing peace over pressure.
